  1. The Casström No.10 is a full-tang knife built for versatility, and is suitable for bushcraft, hunting or general outdoor use. It is a very sturdy knife that will split small logs, carve wood or skin a moose!

The blade is 10cm long and made using 3.8mm thick Swedish 14C28N stainless knife steel and heat treated to achieve a hardness of 57-59 HRC. The knives are ground with a shaving sharp flat Scandinavian grind and have a satin finish. This steel in combination with the grind makes these knives very strong, yet very easy to sharpen and it takes a great edge.

The handle is 12cm long and available in a choice of colours. Between the handle scales and steel are liners to increase durability over time . The handle is secured with strong brass rivets which also gives them great classic look.

The knife comes with a very sturdy knife sheath made from 3mm thick vegetable tanned leather. The sheaths have an extra wide belt loop, an opening in the bottom for liquid, and a hole for a lanyard strap.

    The Scandi Grind
This steel in combination with a Scandinavian grind makes these knives very tough and resilient to heavy chores, even with the point. It also allows the knife to be controlled very accurately when carving wood. This Grind is particularly suitable for bushcraft use. When re-sharpening the whole bevel should be sharpenend in order to maintain its properties or a secondary bevel can be added to make the edge even stronger.

Due to Royal Mail's new prohibited knife policy which came into force with effect from 1st November 2019 we will no longer be able to use them to ship bladed items. As a result, we now need to use courier deliveries and there is a significant increase in cost to us for posting. A £3.50 post surcharge is now made on any bladed purchase. If you purchase a multiple number in one transaction only 1 surcharge is made.

YOU MUST BE OVER 18 TO PURCHASE A KNIFE. A CHECK WILL BE MADE, ON YOUR AGE, THROUGH A BASIC VOTERS ROLL SEARCH AND IN THE EVENT WE ARE UNABLE TO FIND YOU REGISTERED, WE WILL EMAIL AND ASK FOR COPY PROOF OF AGE PRIOR TO DISPATCH OF THIS ITEM.

  2.  - The handle is a little longer, and fuller, now fits more hand sizes, even larger hands
     - The position of the index finger has been moved up and the finger guard is slightly reduced in order to be able to get closer to the blade in a convenient way with different grips
     - The blade is slightly wider to increase strength for really rough use
     - The cutting edge is slightly straighter, even the tip of the knife, and is therefore easier to carve with
     - Brass rivets that give a classic look
     - The sheath has a belt loop that sticks up and finishes just under the end of the shaft to make sure the knife doesn’t become uncomfortable when sitting with it on the belt
     - The side sheath stitching has now been completed with a rivet at the top, and the belt loop is now attached with rivets instead of stitching to increase durability and operating life of the sheath
  3. Blade length: 10cm
    Handle length: 12cm
    Blade thickness: 4mm
  4. SANDVIK 14C28N KNIFE STEEL: Sandvik 14C28N is the latest development in Sandvik's range of knife steels. Optimized chemistry provides a top grade knife steel with a unique combination of excellent edge performance (stability and ability to take an edge), high hardness and good corrosion resistance. This new grade allows for better hardness and wear resistance to previous grades without affecting the microstructure. Blade re-sharpening is therefore easy. At the same time, edge stability in terms of microchipping and edge folding or rolling is also good.

    Steel analysis: C 0.62, Si 0.2, Mn 0.6, P 0.025, S 0.01, Cr 14.0, N 0.11
