THE FAMILY WILDERNESS BREAK

This three day course will give you an insight into the world of Bushcraft and outdoor living skills.  The course is designed for the family to be able to walk a trail and identify items from the wilderness that will help you to set up a wild camp, light a fire and prepare a meal. 

On the course we will cover:

  • Observation techniques & movement
  • Camp orientation, organisation and hygiene
  • Fire lighting, lays and safety
  • Cooking over open fires
  • Fishing Techniques
  • Natural Shelter Construction
  • Hunting and trapping techniques
  • Wild Foods

Minimum age for attendance is 8 years old if accompanied by a parent or guardian or with parental consent unaccompanied from age 14.

To gain full appreciation and experience real camping, all students are asked to camp with the Tamarack team.

All food  will be provided while on the course.
