Leather Workshop

This weekend course has been designed to give access to all the specialist equipment necessary to produce your own leather goods along with close tuition on the techniques used in leather-craft. The aim of the course is to leave with a knife sheath with a Firesteel holder made to be a perfect fit for your own knife , an extra long multi holed belt that has dozens of uses in Bushcraft and a small pouch with a belt attachment for use as a first aid kit or a 'possibles' pouch . The course is based on a non-residential basis and a list of local accommodation can be found on the site.

 

On the course we will cover:
  • Safe use of cutting tools
  • Cutting and Dressing leather
  • Gluing and stitching.
  • Dying and waxing
  • Final Finish
  • Producing a Knife Sheath, Leather Belt and Possibles pouch.

This course is conducted at our Tamarack Headquarters. 

All tools, materials and lunch on both days will be provided.

The minimum age of attendance is 18.
