Introduction to Basket Making
Basket Making is a subtle art and skill that has many uses.
Both Purposeful and aesthetically pleasing using skills that have been honed
over generations.
On the Course We will cover:
- Selection of Materials
- Working the slath and footrac
- The Upset and waleing
- The weave
- English and French round
- Working a border and handles
You will leave the course with a small round basket.
The Course is conducted from a wooden cabin in a beautiful woodland
setting in Lancashire. The course is non-residential, a list of local
accommodation can be found on the website.

The course will only run if a minimum of 4 people book if not we would
need to cancel the date and a full refund of any deposit would be made
15th to 16th September 2008

All tools and materials will be provided.
