Courses and Mentoring
Tamarack offer a range of outdoor training to both the individual and groups. With our wealth of experience and knowledge living, working and playing out-of-doors we can improve your outdoor experience so you gain more confidence, have a better understanding of the natural world and enjoy the outdoors more.
Courses
At Tamarack there are no fixed or set itinerary’s for courses, it is up to you to design your own course, this gives you a greater flexibility, ensuring you get what you want.
There is no set dates either, giving you the opportunity to fit the course in, when you want it.
All you have to do is pick of the list below as many subjects, skills or activity’s as you like and then contact us. We will then offer advise and guidance on the best way to approach and put the itinerary together. Once this is agreed, we can then give you a price and set a date for the course.
We can also come to you to deliver training and courses on your site. This usually means an initial site visit to ensure all health and safety matters are covered and the site is suitable for the activity’s you require. All our courses are self catering, apart from the campfire and Dutch oven cookery courses.

Mentoring
Skills based mentoring accelerates the individuals learning ten fold, especially on a one to one basis. The mentoring package can be specifically designed for the individual or group and spread out over a period of time. The programme could involve all the key features from the list of subjects, skills and activity’s above, or could be cherry picked to suit you needs. Woodsmoke
Woodsmoke's wilderness survival school was founded in 2001 by Lisa Fenton and Ben McNutt, who were trained by Ray Mears in the late 1990s. Ben and Lisa have been professionally involved, as a full-tome occupation, in teaching bushcraft and wilderness survival skills for the past 14 years.
